Rev. Kathy Butler . . . . Pastor
Reverend Kathy Butler is originally from Florence, Mississippi, and is an ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church. She has graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors from Mississippi University for Women. She attended seminary at Asbury Theological Seminary located just outside of Lexington, Kentucky where she received a Master of Divinity. 
 
Prior to coming to Picayune First United Methodist Church, Kathy served as an associate pastor at Decatur UMC where she served as the children’s director and youth director. She was also the Wesley Foundation Director for East Central Community College. She is serving as a co-pastor alongside her husband Jarod Saucedo who is also a co-pastor at Picayune FUMC. Think of co-pastors as partners together.
 
Rev. Jarod Saucedo . . . . Pastor
Reverend Jarod Saucedo is originally from Nashville, Tennessee and is a provisional Elder in the United Methodist Church. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin majoring in philosophy and history. He attended Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky where he received a Master of Divinity.

Prior to coming to Picayune First United Methodist Church, Jarod served as a pastor at Stonewall UMC and Hopewell UMC located near Quitman, MS. Jarod is serving as a co-pastor at Picayune FUMC alongside his wife Kathy Butler who is also a co-pastor. Think of co-pastors as partners together.
 
Linda Hancock . . . . Director of Music Ministries
Linda is currently the Director of Chancel Choir, Youth Praise, Children's Choir and Celebration Ringers. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. She was formerly the director of the Pearl River County Chorus.  
 
Betty Breland . . . . Organist
Betty earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, and is a private piano teacher.  
 
Patricia Dawsey . . . . Pianist
Patricia graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music Education. She was formerly a music teacher at Roseland Park Elementary School.  
 
Mark Chase . . . . Lay Leader
As Lay Leader, Mark does a fantastic job of communicating between the congregation and the Pastors, keeping all lines of communication open for everyone.
 
Michelle Tierce Jones . . . . Nursery 
Michelle has been a member of FUMC of Picayune for a number of years. She has been an active member and has participated in all areas of the church from Sunday School, Children & Youth Programs and VBS.
 
Vanessa Kingrey . . . . Youth Director and Office Administrative Assistant
Vanessa and her family have been members of First United Methodist Church since 2007. She is the youth directory and runs our youth group, "3 Forward" and teaches our youth Sunday school class.  
She also has a young adult group (18-25) called, "AFK", that she directs. 
Vanessa is the crew adviser for our co-ed scout group "Venture Crew 2", which is a part of the Boy Scouts of America. Vanessa is also in charge of the church office. She enjoys hosting breakfast in the fellowship hall every Sunday before Sunday school, please join us!
 
Patsy Cassell . . . . Sound Technician
Patsy has been a long-time member and volunteer for FUMC. She has participated in Turbo Tuesday, Barrentine Circle, and Worship Committee.
 
Scott Campbell . . . . Custodian
Scott is one of our newer staff members. He is also one of our newly married staff members!
Congratulations to him! He is super reliable and always helps anyone in need. He keeps our
facilities beautiful and in tip-top shape.
